The old saying, “Invest in bricks” applies, as so much wealth - private, public and corporate is in real estate, and the determination of its value by a professional, licensed and experienced real estate appraiser can make all the difference in the end result. A good real estate appraiser is an objective and impartial third party, hired for his or her extensive training, continued education, knowledge and experience, and is trusted by individuals who own, manage, buy, sell, invest in and loan money on the security of real estate. To be licensed and certified in PA, a four-year college degree from an accredited institution is required, plus 2,500 hours of experience, a minimum two year apprenticeship, and 250 hours of course work.
